Kempten, 21 August 2025 - The expectation for the 2026 travel season is rising: Vintage Tours, the specialist for exclusive classic car tours in Portugal and Spain, has completed its planning for the coming season. The unique road trips will begin in mid-February, taking travel enthusiasts on unique discovery journeys through some of the most beautiful regions of the Iberian Peninsula.

Season opener in the Alentejo

The first tours in 2026 will lead to the Alentejo - a region that impresses with its rolling hills, colourful fields of flowers and lush green meadows in spring, and its wealth of history and culture. On carefully selected routes, guests experience original villages, imposing fortifications and culinary highlights. Overnight stays are in historic Pousadas de Portugal, which convey the centuries-old history of this region to guests in a very exclusive and authentic way.

From April: On the road in the Douro Valley

From April, the tours start in the legendary Douro Valley, one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tours in the MGA Roadsters take guests along the impressive river valley, through endless vineyards and picturesque wine villages and far into the Côa Valley. Overnight stays are in exclusive wine hotels, where guests can savour the tradition of winegrowing in the Alto Douro after the impressive daily stages, always with a view of the impressive course of the Douro.

Summer and late summer: discover northern Portugal

From the end of May until September, Vintage Tours travel to the green north of Portugal and the Peneda-Gerês National Park. These tours impress with their variety: a visit to Vila Nova de Gaia with its port wine cellars, the medieval splendour of Guimarães, spiritual places such as Bom Jesus and the unspoilt nature in the Peneda-Gerês National Park and along the River Lima. Here, culture, nature and the joy of driving on winding roads combine to create an unforgettable experience.

Autumn trips to Andalusia and Extremadura

From October, Vintage Tours is continuing its tours in the south of Spain. Guests will discover the fascinating diversity of Andalusia and Extremadura - both in terms of the impressive history and the unique landscapes that guests will discover on hand-picked routes. A highlight of the tour is a visit to the city of Córdoba, which impresses not least with its unique Mezquita Cathedral. Guests spend the night in the historic Paradores de España, whose architecture bears witness to the many cultural influences on the Iberian Peninsula.

Season finale in the Alentejo

The end of the travel year is marked by the Alentejo, whose landscape is dominated by warm colours in autumn, not least due to the discoloured vine leaves shining in the sunlight.

New in the programme: the centre of Portugal

Vintage Tours will also be offering a carefully curated journey through the centre of Portugal. The tour begins at the magnificent Palácio de Queluz and takes guests northwards along spectacular coastal roads that reveal the wild and unspoilt beauty of the Atlantic. Highlights of the trip include a visit to Tomar, the historic seat of the Knights Templar, Alcobaça with its impressive 12th century Cistercian monastery, and the Gothic masterpiece of Batalha.
