Vintage Tours offsets the CO2 emissions of its classic car tours

Kempten, 11 June 2025 - Vintage Tours, the specialist for guided classic car tours in Portugal and Spain, is living up to its commitment to reduce CO₂-emissions from his classic cars. His tree donations will support reforestation projects run by the non-profit organisation myreforest gGmbH. Vintage Tours' commitment will be channelled into the reforestation project in Krailling in Upper Bavaria.

Vintage Tours' voluntary commitment stipulates that a tree will be planted for every vehicle that takes part in a Vintage Tour. "In doing so, we are not only offsetting the CO₂-emissions of our own vehicles, but also include offsetting for our customers who take part in our road trips in their own classic cars," explains Matthias Haux, founder of Vintage Tours. "According to myreforest's calculations, one tree can offset the CO₂-emissions of around 2,000 kilometres driven by a classic car," continues Haux.

"As a provider of guided classic car tours, it goes without saying that we take responsibility for our ecological footprint and are actively committed to minimising it as much as possible," says Matthias Haux. In the search for suitable project partners, Vintage Tours came across myreforest around two years ago at a classic car trade fair. Matthias Haux was immediately impressed by the myreforest concept. By donating trees to myreforest, Vintage Tours can not only reduce CO₂-emissions during its journeys, but also make a concrete contribution to the reforestation of regional forest areas.

The reforestation project supported by Vintage Tours is located in Krailling in Upper Bavaria, where an area of forest that has been affected by storm damage and pest infestation is being reforested in a targeted manner. The trees are planted close to their natural habitat in order to have a long-term ecological impact. myreforest accompanies and supervises the reforested area and documents the development of the young trees transparently (https://myreforest.org/project/krailing-bayern). Each participant also has the opportunity to visit the area at any time.
