FAQ's
The drivers of the MGAs must be at least 25 years old and have sufficient driving experience - because our vintage cars from the 1960s do not have any driver assistance systems.
The teams receive a road book in which the tours are described in detail. The design and description of the individual stages means that there is plenty of time to take individual breaks - wherever you like best.
We are also happy to organise individual trips tailored to your wishes. Please contact us.
Vintage Tours also organises incentive trips for companies. Please feel free to enquire.
The journey to Portugal must be planned and booked individually. The transfer from the airport to the starting point of the tour is taken care of, as is the transfer from the final stop of your Vintage Tours back to the airport.
Our vehicles are covered by comprehensive insurance with an excess. For further information, please refer to our General Terms and Conditions.
We at Vintage Tours are proud of our co-operation with selected hotels and restaurants. We place particular emphasis on a high level of comfort and individuality. Each hotel has been carefully selected to give you an unrivalled experience of the history, culture and charm of Portugal's most beautiful regions. In the restaurants you can enjoy typical local specialities.
Your luggage is transported between the individual stations. In addition, our MGAs offer space for the transport of small hand luggage.
You are also welcome to take part in our tours with your own classic car - but we ask for your understanding that we will decide on an individual basis whether your vehicle harmonises with our vehicles. It is particularly important to us that your classic car is similar to our classic cars in terms of vehicle type, year of manufacture and engine.
You are also welcome to take part in our Vintage Tours as a single traveller - this option is available in our booking system.
We will always endeavour to carry out the tours as described. All our vehicles are equipped with weather protection so that the tour can continue even in rainy weather.
The MGAs are vehicles that were built in the late 1950s and early 1960s. They therefore have no assistance systems and the transmission is only partially synchronised. Among other things, this requires anticipatory driving. However, due to their originality, driving our perfectly maintained MGAs is extraordinary fun!
